Speaker Grilles for the new Jaguar "F Type" Sports Car

The upcoming Paris Motor Show will see the debut of the new Jaguar roadster complete with Ash & Lacy fully finished metal perforated door audio speaker grilles.

Supplied through Magna, the world’s most diversified automotive supplier, this is the first order for the newly formed Ash and Lacy Pressings division and comes as a result of Ash & Lacy winning a 7 year contract with Magna. “Hot off the press” is the news that the new division has also been nominated for the metal perforated grilles on the new mini car range due in 2014.

The F-Type will go on sale in mid-2013 with a choice of three engines: two 3.0L supercharged V6 engines delivering 340 hp and 380 hp and a V8. Based on the Jaguar C-X16 hybrid, the model will feature an 8-speed auto gear box and Stop/Start technology.

A “camouflaged” prototype of the aluminum, two-seater sports car was driven at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June - one of many test runs for a vehicle that reportedly can go 0-to-60-mph in less than five seconds, reaching a top speed of at least 180 mph.

Now in production form, the F-Type is set for its official unveiling at this year’s Paris Motor Show, which runs from Sep. 29 to Oct. 14.

2020-candid_007Ash & Lacy Pressings has been formed to strengthen our position as a leading supplier of fine hole perforated metal and to offer our customers even more in the way of “Total Solutions”.

As the UK’s leading manufacturer of perforated metal, and with a reputation for offering customers total in-house solutions, it was a natural progression to expand into the finished product market as David Nock explains.

“Our expansion into finished product opens up a whole new area of opportunity for growth and comes as a result of listening to our customers needs. We have already invested in machinery and recruited 2 new employees, and based on the orders we have already won, it was the right decision to increase our already extensive product portfolio.”

In addition to the contracts won for the new Jaguar F-Type and the new Mini, Ash & Lacy Pressings have also been awarded contracts for high performance home audio speaker grille assemblies, ceiling tile speakers and electric fire assemblies for a premium UK based fire manufacturer.
